Complaint Department


I work for a big company. Big as in Fortune 150. Something happened this morning that happens all the time. The something is my least favorite thing about working at such a place.

I had a meeting scheduled for a week that could be useful. It was a meeting that had potential to assist with several programs I am running. I receive an email this morning- same day as meeting- that rescheduled. The reason for the reschedule is that the other party was double booked.

Doesn't agreeing to the meeting hold that time slot? Shouldn't it? This little thing throws me off my focus all the time. It is such a common happening here that it shouldn't surprise me. It still does.

Does this happen at smaller companies? Does it happen every week? Does this bother you? How to respond to it? I would love to hear your thoughts.
